don't text and drive.

here's a Public Service Announcement (PSA) from the UK that was recently reviewed by AdAge, and starting to get quite a bit of buzz:

this sort of PSA is actually pretty common in the UK* (and at amazingly hi levels). beyond the immediate shock value, they tend to keep you in your seat to see all of the consequences. but given the recent study on how much more dangerous texting while driving is. naturally, this applies to doing pretty much anything on your fancy smartphone.

*sadly, i could not find the ONE best example, with a young couple relaxing on a fence, a car hits them both (the driver is not paying attention, is drunk, or something), kills the boyfriend, and leaves the girl pinned under her dead boyfriend, traumatized, and paralyzed from the waist down (if anyone can find it, please send)

sadly, in the US, we have a little too much sensitivity (guised as "sensibility") to put such messages on the small or big screen. i wish that would change.

the more you know.

please drive safely, from the entire team at ramancoke.com
