i'm a geek, and i particularly love what our friends at the big Goog in the sky do every year on April 1, putting their cherished brand on the line to have a little fun. this year they went as far as partnering with taking over an actual municipality:

whether it's setting up a travel-to-Mars service w/ (sir) Richard Branson, truly going offline, simply Rick-rolling ALL Youtube traffic, or delivering free internet through your toilet. this year, they went so far as renaming a city (above), and removing vowels (which is key, understanding the recent Sajak-influenced CPV*  inflation we've seen in these tough economic times:

brilliant. a complete listing of the Goog's April "festivities" can be found here. sadly, i'm pretty sure MY benevolent corporate overlords won't be having this kind of fun on their cherished brand jewels

*(CPV = cost-per-vowel)

I didn't think it was very funny. In fact, they could have thought harder about this one. You'd think a bunch of intelligent people would have come up with something better.
