i'm not even going to try to write about this one. though i do find it odd how certain points in life (beyond your control) become "anchor points" from which you can remember everything surrounding it so vividly. the sad thing is that the rest of world deals with just as (if not more) significant anchor points on a more regular basis.
at the time, these were a few interesting articles that struck me (one mature and timely, the other juvenile and expected:
